Terms & conditions
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms cover everything you buy from this website, live corals, dry goods, and advertising space on our tank cabinet. Placing an order means you accept them.
1. Who you are buying from
NanoReef

Prices are in pounds sterling, include VAT where it applies, and are the total you pay , delivery is shown separately at checkout and nothing is added after that.
One thing for the shop owner: if you are VAT registered, add your VAT number here, it has to appear on the site and on invoices. If you are not registered, delete this box; nothing else needs changing.
2. Orders and payment
- Your order is accepted when we take payment and send confirmation, not when you click pay.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- If something is priced wrongly by mistake, we will contact you before dispatch and you can cancel for a full refund.
- Stock is live. If an item sells out between your order and packing, we refund that line in full.
3. Live corals
- Corals are living animals. Colour, size and shape vary from the photographs, which show a representative example and not the exact frag you receive.
- We dispatch Monday to Thursday so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend.
- Live arrival guarantee. If anything arrives dead, send us clear photographs within 4 hours of delivery, in the unopened bag where possible, and we will replace it or refund it.
- We cannot guarantee anything after it has gone into your tank, once it is in your water, its health depends on your parameters, flow and lighting.
4. Delivery
- Delivery is a flat £4.65 per order anywhere in the UK, however many corals are in it, on a tracked next-day service. An order for advertising space only has nothing to post, so it carries no delivery charge.
- We dispatch Monday to Thursday and the courier collects at 3pm. Order before 3pm on a dispatch day and it goes out that day; after that it goes out on the next dispatch day.
- Risk passes to you when the parcel is delivered, not when we hand it to the courier.
- Full details, including the live arrival guarantee and how to claim, are on our delivery and returns page.
5. Cancelling and returns
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days from delivery to change your mind about goods bought online, and a further 14 days to send them back.
- Dry goods, unopened, within 14 days. Email us first. Return postage is yours unless the item was faulty or we sent the wrong thing.
- Live corals, excluded from that right once dispatched. Live animals cannot be returned and resold safely, which is a recognised exception in those Regulations.
To cancel, email us with your order number saying you are cancelling, there is a form of words on the delivery and returns page if you would like one, but you do not have to use it. We refund to the card you paid with within 14 days of the goods coming back, or of you showing us they have been sent.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if an item is faulty, misdescribed or not as ordered.
6. Advertising space on the tank
Slots on our Red Sea Max Nano cabinet are let as a rolling monthly subscription. By subscribing you agree to the following.
How it runs
- You pay for the first month when you subscribe, and the same amount automatically on the same date each month until you cancel.
- A slot is one of a kind. Once taken it is off sale until the subscription ends.
- We will tell you at least 30 days before any price change, and you can cancel instead of accepting it.
Your artwork
- Upload your artwork from your account after paying. It is printed as a sticker at the size your slot states and placed on the cabinet.
- Every upload is checked by us before it appears anywhere on this website or on the cabinet. Nothing goes on display automatically.
- You must own the rights to what you upload, or have permission to use it. You keep ownership; you give us permission to print, display and film it for as long as your subscription runs.
- We will refuse artwork that is illegal, offensive, misleading, pornographic, promotes gambling, imitates another business, or that we simply judge to be a poor fit for a family-friendly fishkeeping channel. That judgement is ours and it is final.
- If we refuse artwork we will say why and you can upload something else. If you never supply usable artwork, your slot stays blank and the monthly payment still stands.
What we do and do not promise
- The cabinet is filmed regularly, but we do not guarantee any particular number of videos, views, clicks or sales.
- We do not guarantee that a given video will show your slot, or for how long.
- If the tank is out of action for more than 14 days in a row, a breakdown, a move, a rebuild, we will credit you that month.
Cancelling
- Cancel any time from My ad space in your account. It takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, your sticker stays on until then.
- We do not refund part months.
- We may end a subscription ourselves, with a pro-rata refund of the unused part, if the artwork breaks these terms or the tank is permanently retired.
- When a subscription ends the slot goes back on sale and the sticker comes off.
7. Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it. We may suspend an account being used fraudulently or abusively.
8. Reviews
Reviews should be your honest experience of something you actually bought. We remove reviews that are abusive, fake, or that contain personal information.
9. Liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for business losses, or for losses that were not foreseeable. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and subscribers are told before changes affect them.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
Questions about any of this? Email aquashrimp.co.uk@gmail.com and we will answer in plain English.
